Day 1 – Flight to Croatia

We depart on an overnight flight from your departure city to Croatia. Meals are served on board the plane.

Day 2 – Arrival in Croatia, Dubrovnik

Upon arrival at Dubrovnik International Airport, the group will meet with the guide and the driver after clearing the customs! In the afternoon, we will have a guided walking city tour of Dubrovnik, which has been under UNESCO protection for more than 30 years. During our visit to the historical city, we will see Stradun, Rector's Palace, St. Francis Church, Sponza Palace, Orlando's Column, the first pharmacy in Europe, as well as interesting churches and city streets. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 3 – Dubrovnik, Excursion to Montenegro

Today we are on the whole day excursion to Montenegro. After breakfast, we depart for our day trip to Montenegro and the beautiful coastal city of Kotor. Kotor is a city of baroque palaces, famous medieval goldsmiths, and master armorers. It is also where one can feel the true spirit of the only fjord in the Mediterranean. The highlight of this visit to Montenegro will be a visit to Our Lady of The Rock, Gospa of Skrpjela, in the midst of the Kotor bay short ride by boat! The story of the Church of Our Lady is amazing. The faith of the women who built the island & the church is most inspiring! We will have lunch in Kotor before making our way back to Dubrovnik for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Dubrovnik - Korcula - Medjugorje

Today we are on a whole day excursion to peninsula Peljesac with town Ston & island & town Korcula! We will leave our hotel by bus, and the first stop will be at the town of Mali Ston and The Salt Museum. The production of salt here is 700 years old, through the evaporation of seawater naturally. Fifty-three salt pans were named by saints St. Francis, St. Blaise, St. Anthony… The longest fortification walls in Europe connect Mali Ston and Ston, two towns on the peninsula Peljesac! After a visit here, we will head to town Orebic, embark on the boat, and for about 20 minutes sail to town Korcula! It is an amazing little town with spectacular history, architecture, and a true example of the Mediterranean lifestyle! After Holy Mass and a city tour, we will have some free time before heading to Medjugorje.

 

About - KORCULA, Croatia
It is believed that the greatest traveler and explorer of all time, Marco Polo, was born in Korčula in 1254. On 07th September 1298, the great naval battle between the Genoese and the Venetian armadas took place in front of the town of Korčula. The Venetians were defeated, and the Genoese imprisoned, among whom Marco Polo was freed on payment of a large ransom in 1299. In a Genoese prison, Marco Polo dictated his experiences about his journey to China to Rustichelli. These journeys are described in the book “Il Milione”. Marko Polo died in Venice in 1324.

Day 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - Medjugorje program

After breakfast, a short meeting with your local English-speaking guide, who will give you an introduction, a little walk from your hotel to the Church St. James. You will have a chance to participate in many activities during your stay in Medjugorje. With pilgrims from all over the world, you will celebrate daily mass at St. James Church. It is at 10:00 am for English-speaking pilgrims on feast days and holidays at noon. The Adoration of the Holy Eucharist is on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 – 10:00 pm and Thursday right after the evening Holy Mass.

Each evening at 5:00 pm starts the prayer of the Rosary followed by the evening Holy Mass at 6:00 pm! Pilgrims here pray all three Mysteries during the evening program. In Her messages, Our Lady repeated many times how important it is to come to Mass, where “we meet Jesus alive.” Messages of Prayer of the Rosary, Holy Mass, and Confession are the center of the evening program at St. James church.

Visiting Bijakovici village, all six visionaries come from it; you will go up the Apparition Hill, Podbrdo, where Our Lady first appeared. According to their words, the Virgin Mary appears to three of them daily, Vicka, Ivan, and Marija. Mirjana, Jakov, and Ivanka are the three visionaries who don’t have daily apparitions but once a year. As a group, we will also climb the “Cross mountain” and pray the Way of The Cross, Krizevac as local people know it, and visit the “Blue Cross,” another place of the apparition of Our Lady also a nearby community - Cenacolo. Each pilgrim will have time for private devotions, shopping, or simply enjoying your own “freedom of prayer.

 

Medjugorje Excursion to local historically and culturally important places, like Franciscan Monastery in Humac, with a stop for Holy Mass in Tihaljina where Fr. Jozo Zovko served as a priest, with the most beautiful statue of Our Lady associated with Medjugorje! We will also stop for a wine tasting, lunch in a typical local restaurant offering local dishes, visit a little „wonder of nature“ waterfalls Kravice, before returning to Medjugorje - minimum 6 hours duration.

Day 11 - Departure flight Split, Croatia - USA, Canada...

Early morning at departure for Split Intl. Airport, flight back home, arrival the same day!
