13 DAY TOUR

Pilgrimage tour through Portugal, Spain, and France! A Catholic journey to the most popular Marian Shrines, Fatima and Lourdes, with Santiago de Compostela, Burgos, and Lisieux to St. Therese the Little Flower, St. Martin of Tours in Tours, Normandy & Omaha Beach, and, at the end, a City Of Light, Paris!

In Paris, we will focus on the Miraculous Medal Chapel, where our group will celebrate the Holy Mass. Of course, a Catholic-themed tour of Paris also includes Cathedral Notre Dame (currently under restoration), Sacre Couer, and many other Paris landmarks!

Day 1 DEPART FOR PORTUGAL

Our journey starts with a flight to Portugal and its capital city Lisbon. Catholic pilgrimage to Fatima, Lourdes, and Miraculous Medal in Paris.  Meals were served onboard the plane.

 

Day 2 ARRIVAL TO LISBON AND FATIMA
Upon arrival in Portugal, we will head to its capital, Lisbon, for a city tour. Visiting for pilgrim's most exciting site, the birthplace of St. Anthony, the church of St. Anthony, and the nearby Cathedral. We will go to the waterfront and see the Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. On the way to Fatima, we will make a short stop in Santarem, one of Europe's most visited Eucharistic Miracle sanctuaries!

The Fatima group will check in to the hotel, have dinner, and participate in a candlelight procession at 9:30 in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima. We will then overnight at our hotel in Fatima.

 

Day 3 FATIMA - ALJUSTREL - VALINHOS
Visit places connected with the apparition in Fatima! Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima, tiny village Aljustrel, home of visionaries, pasturage at Valinhos where Our Lady also appeared, and to the Cova da Iria, the actual place of the apparition where Our Lady of Fatima gave a message to the world through Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia. Holy Mass in one of the chapels in the Shrine. In the evening, participating in the prayer service (optional). Dinner and overnight stay in Fatima.

 

Day 4 FATIMA - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
After breakfast and holy Mass in Fatima in the early morning, we leave for Spain for Santiago de Compostela. Along the way, stop for lunch in the late afternoon arrival, and visit the city of Santiago de Compostela, St James - Santiago "Obradorio Plaza," and the Cathedral of St. James. Check in to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 5 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - BURGOS
We will spend the morning in Santiago, breakfast, and Holy Mass before our pilgrimage journey continues to Burgos, the city of El Cid, and many Spanish kings who were buried in this spectacular Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Burgos.

 

Day 6 BURGOS - LOURDES
In the morning, a city tour of Burgos where the focus is on the amazing Cathedral of Saint Mary. From Burgos, we depart for France, Lourdes. After checking into the hotel, free time before dinner. Time permitting, you will have a chance to walk to the Shrine of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. In the evening, prayer of the Rosary during the candlelight procession. First night in Lourdes.

 

Day 7 LOURDES
Tour of the Shrine for about 2 hours, visiting the Grotto of Massabielle where the Blessed Virgin appeared 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858. Also, we will see The Baths, with the Lourdes miraculous water. A guided tour will include The Basilica of Immaculate Conception and Crypt, which was the first chapel built here as a place of worship, and the Rosary Basilica, Church of St. Bernadette. Our local Lourdes guide will then take us to all the sites associated with St. Bernadette. The Bolly Mill in Rue Bernadette Soubirous, where the Saint was born on January 7th, 1844, and it is a place where she spent the first years of her life. A group will also visit "Cachot" or jail, where Bernadette lived with her family in poverty at the time of the apparitions. The tour will also include the parish church and the baptismal font where she received baptism! The afternoon and time for lunch will be on your own. Free afternoon until dinner, and in the evening, the group can participate in the Candlelight Marian Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

 

Day 8 LOURDES - TOURS  (St. Martin of Tours)
Today, the group will leave Lourdes! A morning bus ride of several hours before we reach the Loire Valley & town of Tours! The rich history of the place where St. Martin was a bishop, from Romans (Hill of Ceaser), Arabs during the 8th-century crucial battle, Vikings during the 9th century, and First, and Second World War, will be presented to us by our local guide. After the city tour, where we visit the tomb of St. Martin in the Basilica dedicated to him, and some free time, we will head to our hotel for a good night's rest! Tonight you are in your hotel in the Loire Valley!

 

Day 9 TOURS - NORMANDY OMAHA BEACH, D-Day - LISIEUX 
This morning we will continue our tour through France, our goal is Normandy Beach, where we visit the place remembering the great sacrifice US soldiers offered for the liberation of Europe from Nazis! The story about D-Day before we leave for Lisieux to St. Theresa of Little Flower! Check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight!

 

Day 10  LISIEUX, St. Therese of Little Flower - PARIS 
We are in Lisieux, visit St. Therese the Little Flower. After Holy Mass, we will visit the Carmel, where Saint lived as a Carmelite nun. We will see the relics, the modern Basilica, dedicated to the Saint, "the greatest saint of modern times" (Pope Pious X), and we will also visit the family home, "Les Buissonets." Later in the afternoon, we are heading for the City of Lights, Paris! Check in to the hotel, dinner, and overnight.

 

Day 11 PARIS - city tour 
Today, the group will celebrate Holy Mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, hosting the tomb of St. Catherine Labore. Just across the street, we will visit the church of St. Vincent de Paul, founder of Daughters of Charity, the order to which St. Catherine belonged. Our sightseeing in Paris by bus will include Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and more. The group will also stop at the Basilica of Sacred Heart  - Sacre Coeur - and the visit will finish at Notre Dame Cathedral, Latin Quarter, with a dozen shops, restaurants, cafes, bookstores... Dinner on your own, overnight stay in Paris.

 

Day 12 PARIS - free day
Today, after breakfast, you will have a chance to explore Paris on your own! Pilgrims will have a free day to visit museums, churches, and shopping centers, have lunch and a glass of fine wine, cruise the Seine River, or stroll the streets of Paris! Last night in Paris for packing before departure back home, we will have a farewell, late lunch in Paris!

 

Day 13 FLIGHT BACK HOME
Transfer to CDG, Paris International Airport, for flight back home.
